Registry On-line Help

Welcome to the Metadata Technology Keymaster Online Help

Keymaster is a browser-based online graphical user interface to a Metadata Technology SDMX Registry. This Online Help is accessable either from the Keymaster main menu, under 'Help', or in panels with '?' buttons, leading to context specific help pages.

Menu Options

Registry Contents

The Keymaster Home Page provides an overview of the structures that it contains, listing the number of items available for each structure type under the currently selected Agency. This is shown in the left hand panel.

Click on the magnifier icon to view those items in a list in the right hand panel, called "Browse Structures".

Browse Structures

Once the right hand panel is listing structures for the currently selected Agency and your selected structure type, you can choose to download them one at a time or all at once.

A box will appear asking what SDMX or EDI standard your wish to format your export and whether you wish to include cross references.

Security

The Registry itself can be secured, and only by the Registry Owner directly on the server - not remotely using Keymaster.

When security is ACTIVE it is shown in the Security Administration panel, which is only accessable from Keymaster's menu when logged in as an Administrator (Registry Owner) or an Agency User.

A secured Registry will prevent modifications through either Keymaster or through REST interfaces (available from Keymaster main menu), unless by a User logged in with appropriate credentials and authorities.

Login, Logout

To log in, use the 'Login' link at the top right of Keymaster. Enter your username and password credentials. If you are successful, the 'Login' link will be replaced with a 'Logout' link, your username, and a 'Change Password' link.

Whilst logged in, you may make modifications to a secured Registry subject to the authorities associated with that User account.

Use the 'Logout' link to end your secure session, when the 'Login' link will reappear and Keymaster will work in a largely read-only state until another Login is made.

Change Password

You might see a second box appear after logging in, which is the same box as when you use the 'Change Password' link (top right). This happens automatically if either this is the first time you have logged in, and so you should choose a new password not known to your supervisor, or after a certain period when the system is suggesting (not enforcing) that you should periodically change password.
