What is SDMX?

The SDMX Tools Forum is an informal and volunteer meeting-place on the internet for exchanging views about the use and implementation of SDMX tools (ISO/TS 17369) and related standards more generally, with a particular focus on how these can be facilitated by emerging tools. This forum has no formal relationship with the SDMX Initiative. It is created and operated by Metadata Technology for the benefit of SDMX users and implementers.

Topics for discussion include the analysis of data and metadata structures, technical implementation of SDMX-ML and SDMX-EDI formats, SDMX registry issues, and any other aspect of SDMX.

We hope that by facilitating an exchange of ideas and experiences this will contribute to greater efficiencies in statistical information exchange activities. By sharing what we learn about using and implementating SDMX, we will also be helping to identify topics and details where the standards and tools may need further development.
